Executive Directors

Denis Dubois

CEO, Founder

Denis spent 22 years on financial markets, as a trader, portfolio manager for a hedge fund, and as head of rate sales for HSBC in EMEA. He believes we are still at the beginning of a long journey where we are just starting to understand the value and power data brings to every day decision making. Since 2013, Denis has looked more closely at securities financing and believes it is ripe for data-enrichment.

He ensures that RepOptim’s focus is on understanding user journeys, associated pain points and finding tangible data-driven solutions.

Yann Adjanor

Chief Data Scientist, Co-Founder

Yann’s career included 13 years at HSBC, where he held the role of Head of G10 Cross-currency Swaps Trading. There he improved technically challenging financial processes, including cross-currency market-making and non-linear risk management.

Yann is in charge of all data science aspects in RepOptim. Having re-trained in the field, he is able to combine his understanding of the possibilities of data science and machine learning with his market experience to deliver best-in-class solutions for front-office automation and insight-gathering.

Matthieu “Matt” Duncan

Non-executive Chairman 

Matt is the former CEO of Ostrum Asset Management (formerly Natixis Asset Management). Matt has over 30 years of financial services industry experience. He started his career and spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs in New York, London, and Paris, and subsequently held senior roles at Cambridge Place Investment Management, Newton Investment Management, and Quilter Cheviot. Matt now serves as a non-executive director, senior advisor, and/or venture investor in a variety of businesses in the asset management and financial technology sectors.

He is the non-executive Chairman of the board of directors of RepOptim.

Abe Smith

Non-executive Board Member

Abe Smith is an entrepreneur and investor with a successful twenty five year leadership record in technology. He has founded, built and sold three fintech companies and helped drive the value of multiple other technology businesses participating in eight exits in total.

His current role is as CEO of Paymentology - the world's fastest growing cloud-native payments processor, powering a new generation of banks including Revolut, Standard Chartered's Mox Bank and Natwest's Mettle.

Prior this, as the founder and CEO of Dealflo, he built the company from nothing to processing over $15bn transactions pa within a few years until its acquisition by OneSpan in 2018.

Prior to Dealflo Abe built a series of fintech ventures including Proficient Europe (AI-driven customer engagement), Geneva Partners (fintech brokerage) and Atomic (financial management tools), helping create over $1bn of shareholder value in the process.
